Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreos (crushed)
  • 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip (thawed)
  • ¼ cup butter (softened)

Easter-Themed Toppings:

  • Peeps marshmallow chicks
  • Easter M&M’s
  • Edible grass (or shredded coconut dyed with green food coloring)
  • Mini chocolate eggs
  • Chocolate bunnies (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oreo Crumbs

  1. Crush the Oreos in a food processor or place them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. Set aside half of the crushed Oreos for layering and use the rest for the topping.

Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Mixture

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and mix well until fully combined.

Step 3: Prepare the Pudding Mixture

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix, vanilla pudding mix, and milk until smooth and thickened.
  2. Fold in Cool Whip to make the pudding mixture light and fluffy.

Step 4: Assemble the Easter Dirt Cake

  1. Layer half of the crushed Oreos in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the Oreos.
  3. Add the cream cheese mixture on top, spreading it evenly.
  4. Top with the remaining crushed Oreos to create the “dirt” effect.

Step 5: Refrigerate and Decorate

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to set.
  2. Just before serving, sprinkle the top with edible grass, Easter M&M’s, mini chocolate eggs, and Peeps.
  3. For an extra festive touch, place one Peep on each slice before serving.
